How pricing works
How Education Host pricing works: platforms and services are priced per deployment based on scale, modules and support needs — with a written proposal after scoping, not a generic price list.
Education Host platforms and services are priced per institution, based on scale (students, machines or sites), the modules and workloads involved, and the support model — with a written proposal after a scoping conversation. There is no generic public price list, because a 60-student pilot and a 20,000-student estate are not the same product.
What drives the price?
The same few factors drive cost on every platform:
- Scale — student numbers, concurrent lab machines, hosted sites or school size
- Scope — which modules, environments or workflows the deployment covers
- Infrastructure — the capacity and resilience the workloads need
- Support — from standard platform support to scoped managed technical support
- Term — pilots, annual agreements and multi-year arrangements are priced differently
How do we get a price?
Two routes: request pricing with your rough numbers and we will come back with questions and a proposal, or book a consultation and scope it live. Either way you get a written proposal for your institution — the document procurement can actually review.
Why is there no public price list?
Because deployment-scoped pricing is honest and generic price lists for institutional platforms are not. Publishing a number that ignores scale, integrations and support would either overcharge small deployments or under-represent large ones. Where a product genuinely has simple consumer pricing — such as Alumni Hosting for individual graduates — the price is published on that product's own page.
Can we start small?
Yes — most institutions do. A scoped pilot (one module, cohort or school) establishes real usage before a wider agreement, and pilot configurations carry forward into full deployments.
How pricing works — frequently asked questions
Direct answers for IT, security, procurement and teaching teams.
- How much does Cloud Pulse cost?
- Cloud Pulse is priced per deployment based on cohort sizes, the lab environments your modules need and the support model. Book a demo or request pricing with your module list and student numbers for a written proposal.
- How much does Student Web Host Manager cost?
- Student Web Host Manager is priced around student numbers, hosting model and support requirements, confirmed after a demo and scoping conversation.
- How much does Cover Manager cost?
- Cover Manager pricing is confirmed as part of a demo and scoping conversation for your school — book a demo to see the platform and discuss what is right for your setting.
- Do you charge for scoping or proposals?
- No. Consultations, scoping conversations and written proposals are free — you pay when you deploy something.
- Is annual billing available?
- Billing cadence and term are part of the proposal — pilots, annual agreements and longer arrangements are all normal, agreed per deployment.
